How to Build a Smart AI Chatbot in Domino CRM

1. Create your AI assistant. In your personal account, find the ‘AI Assistant’ section and click ‘+ Add Assistant’.

2. Assign a name to your new AI bot and create a custom prompt. This text sets professional boundaries for the chatbot. A workable prompt should encompass:

  • The role assigned to your smart bot;

  • Communication style you want it to follow;

  • Forbidden topics that must not be discussed or mentioned;

  • Response format;

  • Actions to take when the bot has no information to generate an answer (typically forwarding to a live operator).

Important: feel free to adjust the ‘Temperature’ slider to control the bot’s creativity:

  • At 0, the bot will strictly follow your instructions;

  • At 1.5, it will improvise much more freely (we recommend setting it around 0.5 for balanced performance).

3. You can manually add Q&A pairs or upload a ready-made file as a knowledge base for the AI chatbot. Once you’re done, click ‘Add Assistant.’ Your AI assistant will now appear in your list.

4. Place the AI Assistant node anywhere within your flow where you want it to interact with end-users.

5. Configure the AI node. Select the right assistant from the dropdown menu (especially important if you have multiple bots). Then set a final fallback question and optionally configure the option to assign a live operator.
