Meet Arithmetic Operations in Domino CRM

When we talk about Domino CRM as a smart chatbot builder for business, we don’t just mean creative AI assistants or advanced content filtering. Recently, we added a new feature to the 'System Action' node, called 'Arithmetic Operations.' Today, we’ll walk you through how it functions.

  • Place the 'System Action' node where you want to be. 

  • Click on it, then on 'Add Action' and choose 'Arithmetic operations' from the list of available options.

As its very name suggests, this node lets you perform basic calculations: add, subtract, multiply, and divide. The question is: what two numbers will be used in the operation? In Domino CRM, users have two options. 

In the 'Source' field, you can:

  • Select 'Value' and manually enter a number;

  • Use a 'Variable' to pull a value from contact fields, bot fields, flow fields, or system default fields.

The result of the operation is saved to any field you select from existing ones. Alternatively, you can create a new field for this purpose.

This feature makes it easy to calculate things like the final check total after an upsell, subtract discounts, apply loyalty points, and much more.
