Daily Bot Editing in the Domino CRM Builder
If your Telegram bot is running through the Domino CRM chatbot builder, you might occasionally need to update its name, profile info, avatar, or API token. All of these actions are managed through Telegram’s official service — @BotFather.
To make things easier, we’ve prepared step-by-step instructions to help you manage these settings smoothly and avoid any disruptions in automation.
1. Changing the Bot’s Name
This is the display name your contacts see in chat headers and notifications.
Step-by-step flow:
Initiate a chat with @BotFather.
Send the command /mybots.
Pick up your bot from the list.
Tap Edit Bot, then Edit Name.
Enter a new name.
Wait for the confirmation: “Success! Name updated.”

2. Adding or Changing the Bot’s Avatar
The avatar makes your bot more recognizable and personalized.
Step-by-step flow:
- Initiate a chat with @BotFather.
- Send /mybots and select your bot.
- Go to Edit Bot → Edit Botpic.
- Upload a new image.
- You’re all set once you see: “Success! Profile photo updated.”
3. Updating the Bot Description
This short description appears when users first open the bot chat or view the “What can this bot do?” section.
Step-by-step flow:
Initiate a conversation with @BotFather.
Send /mybots, then pick up your bot.
Tap Edit Bot → Edit Description.
Submit the fresh description text.
You’ll see: “Success! Description updated. You will be able to see the changes within a few minutes.”
4. Updating the “About” Section
This text is shown when your bot’s link is shared or when someone views its profile.
Step-by-step flow:
Start a chat with @BotFather.
Send /mybots and pick your bot.
Tap Edit Bot → Edit About.
Send the new “About” text.
Wait for: “Success! About section updated.”
5. Updating the Bot Token
If you’ve generated a new token in Telegram, you must update it in Domino. Without this, flows won’t trigger and messages won’t be delivered.

Step-by-step flow:
Open a chat with @BotFather.
Send /mybots, then find and pick up your relevant bot.
Tap API Token → Revoke current token.
BotFather will generate and provide you with a new token.
Copy it and paste it into the Telegram Bot Token field in Domino, then click “Refresh”.
